A VERY Happy Valentine's Day!

My sweet hubby took me on an overnight date for Valentine's Day to the Four Points Sheraton, where we spent our wedding night.
We ate a delicious dinner at the Roadhouse and talked about all kinds of deep and not so deep things. It was so nice to be in each others' presence. It was nice to eat a great big dinner (although the baby didn't seem too pleased as she wiggled for every ounce of room remaining in there!) We had lofty plans of watching movies and eating treats back at the hotel, but when we got back, after I cut his hair (romantic, I know), we fell asleep..and slept for ten hours straight!!! LOL!

We awoke to a call from our babysitter, saying that Wyatt was throwing up, so we went home a few hours earlier than we had planned, and nursed our poor sick boy back to health. I felt like I had the patience of a saint, even with all the throwing up and chaos upon our return; must have been all that sleep and having reconnected with my love.

I am definitely a better mom (and person in general) when I have had good sleep and good connection with my sweet hubby.

Wyatt is feeling better today and we are on the road to Easter! I feel like my life revolves around the next holiday in so many ways, and I love it!
How did you celebrate Valentine's day?

Oh, Tara,

I am just SO JEALOUS!!! = ) Bill and I went to our church's annual conference a few weeks back but NOT the same as a romantic get away! So excited for you! Great to get that time before little "newbie" comes to the house. = ) No 10 hour sleeps then, right? = )

We'll be praying for your Wyatt.

Peace, my friend,
Cheryl

Sounds fantastic. Of course your son ended up throwing up though. That alwayas happens when I get a night away.

I love to overeat especially on special nights out with the husband.

I can't wait to see what you have planned for your kids' Easter outfits!
