When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they will not overflow you. Isaiah 43:2

The Smallest Things

As I awakened this morning at 6am, there were no children in bed with me and I had slept through the night! I couldn't believe it. I got dressed, put my makeup on, read the Bible, did my yoga workout, and here I sit reporting on it all and still not a peep from the babies.

As I read Leviticus 24 and 25 today (it was the "reading of the day" for the "Bible in a Year" chart at the beginning of my Bible, so I thought, "Huh, I never read Leviticus, I'll check it out.")

I became more and more convinced that God is concerned over the smallest things in our lives as I read...our homes, how many years we grow grapes, what we eat, how we live...He gets pretty specific and nit picky in Leviticus. If we will listen to that still small voice as He whispers to us the detailed answers to our dilemmas, we will prosper too. If we will cry out past the noise in our lives, He will provide a way for our best.

Thank you for the reminders this morning Lord. And thank you for this morning with you. It was absolutely lovely.

Oh, I hear a baby boy awakening! This is going to be a great day.

ok so I read this one first then last nights...I so totally get it...I have to admit though on those days that I need rest/me time the most...when my children actually sleep all night I wake up in a bit of fear still...

Oh my friend, my most fearful faithless times relate to sleep/illness and my children. There have been so many nights I have literally cried out for help making them go to sleep/get better/sleep longer to seemingly deaf ears. I fear lack of sleep like no one else I know. But on those days when the cloud passes and the sleep returns to our house, I know it was all to make me stronger, better and more grateful...still annoying to have to go through though! HA!

Looking at the changes happening to our schools due to the economy, I think you are making a wise choice. You know how I love the kids, and like you want what is the best for them. They are surrounded by the most loving and patient teachers they can have, most of them credentialed. Kya is already ahead of many kindergarteners in my school, and Wyatt is well on his way! I'm behind you 100%

Thanks for your comment. Yes, I am doing my own survey. Your comment offered a lot of help to me. I agree. I also know that modesty doesn't come from just the clothes you wear but from within your heart so I am planning a post on that as well. Thanks again! Stay blessed!
