Embarrassment Breeds Motivation

There's nothing like a little embarrassment to motivate me.

Two days ago, Scott took a picture of me passed out on the couch nursing Addie. I had a double chin and a muffin top. It was not pretty. So, I ordered some workout clothes and intend to hit the gym as soon as my healing body will allow. I would also like to order a figure like Kelly Ripa's please.

P.S. I feel better after giving birth to my fourth child than I did after my first! I could have danced a jig on day three! And I never took a single pain med!
Second, a well-meaning individual, who shall remain nameless, was entering my home with my four year old daughter, Kya. Kya stated to said individual, "I'm so sorry our house is a wreck."

If that was not embarrassment enough, this individual replied, "That's what happens when you have too many children."

Needless to say, I am on the road to becoming an immaculate housekeeper...this week. Sometimes, a little embarrassment goes a long way toward motivation. And I'm OK with that.

Isn't it funny where motivation can come from!! If you find out where to "order" one of those bodies, please let me know!!:)
Glad the recovery from baby 4 was easier....I felt the same way with my third.
I'm sure your home looks beautiful and I can't believe someone would really say that!
Enjoy the day

Tara! Addie is just perfect! I LOVE all that hair! My firstborn had a mop of black hair that really caught us off guard. We were both baldie babies like our second-born. I remember it being so much fun to play with.

Regarding your workout motivation, have you ever tried yoga? Have mercy! It's wonderful and so meditative. You find muscles you never knew you had. I find it to be so worshipful...such a great way to surrender you body (and your thoughts about your body) to the Lord. LOVE IT!

YOGA! Yes, I LOVE yoga! And strength workouts too. Anything that keeps me out of the kitchen and fridge would be helpful though. :)

I'm glad that person has never come to MY house! They'd die. lol

And besides, I thought everyone's house looks, ahem ... "lived in" shall we say, when you have a newborn? Heck, mine still does and Nate is far from a newbie.

You are doing spectacularly well! And I can't even believe you are moving with 4 kids under 5. You have to tell me how you pack? I can't seem to keep up with my laundry much less get packing. ugh...

Anyways, you rock!
